Blue Eyes

Posted by Spike (Bristol, United Kingdom) on 2 August 2014 in Animal & Insect.

Another portrait of a southern hawker, again with the soft lens. They're inquistive little characters, and if you're quiet will fly to within a few inches (much closer than this one) - I've even had one try to lay an egg on my boot before now! - but they have a talent for dodging out of the frame at the crucial moment.
