Why yes, yes I am building a nest under your roof tiles. And your point is?

We got a bit of blue sky yesterday, and I was playing with my mirror lens. On this camera, it's the equivalent of 1000mm, f/8. At this distance, it gives a depth-of-focus of about 2cm. It's also impossible to keep it still, so quite how I managed to get this shot even remotely sharp is a mystery.

Processed for a small amount of motion blur (about 5 pixels worth) and a similar amount of soft-focus.

There's a faint set of concentric halos in the sky. Not quite sure of the cause (the lens is obviously a factor, but not the only one), but I like the effect enough not to worry about them for now.

Thanks for stopping to take a look.

Love that sterling with his house-building-kit =D
Don´t mind the halo, I like the effect too but I thinks it´s from the lens.
(another reason why I chose the k-x is that it has the image-stabilisation in the body ;D has to arrive before weekend, gnihihi, sorry I´m so excited about it)
And thank you for adding your fav tools with this eloquent explanation to the thread! (I just realised Jason featured it on the announcement page.)
heard about munin before but tried the one time I was playing with hdr the unspeakable sqt/&$%§*gui (or something like that) but my old computer was too lame for that so i stopped that project and never tried again with my faster machine then...
