Every so often, especially during the airshow season, these guys drop into the local airfield. Sometimes it's a maintenance visit; usually, though, it's because they have several gigs in the south and west and it's easier to set up camp here for a couple of days.
Usually, the first indication that they're arriving is a sudden roar and nine or ten red streaks whipping past my window - and then it's a case of scrambling outside with the camera to follow their landing pattern. On this occasion, though, I happened to be in a field directly in line with the runway.
