Bright light, low wind - perfect conditions for having another go at some shots with the mirror lens. Some careful propping of lens and limbs against the window frame, even more careful focussing, and... voilà!

It's just as well that Mrs Sparrow here didn't seem to be in too much of a hurry to take the grub in to her brood.

Tech stuff: 500 mm (1000 mm equiv.) f/8 catadioptric lens at about 4 m; full-height crop.

Nice and sharp too - might have to add a mirror lens to the list of 'stuff to sneak past the Mrs'
