Not quite sunset yet - the sun is behind a bank of cloud seeded by that steam plume in yesterday's photo. There was a similar one rising from this side of the estuary.
"The Blue and Gold" is a phrase stuck in my head from a time in London a few years ago. It appeared on the recruitment adverts for Traffic Wardens that were posted in Underground trains. They listed some of the perks of the job - "you'll get to wear a smart uniform" - and finished with the unforgettable, "Join the men and women who wear the Blue and Gold - the Traffic Wardens' badge of pride". How I managed to resist, I'll never know... ;-)
